By being a Food Truck Unloader, you will help people in Galveston by providing compassionate services that serve the needs of all people in collaboration with parishes, communities, and other nonprofit partners.
Food Truck Unloaders take leftover food from Galveston Food Bank’s truck into the pantry after an outdoor mobile food distribution. This includes disposing of trash into the dumpsters. Volunteers must be able to lift at least 15 lbs., in all weather conditions, onto carts provided by the pantry. Previous experience helpful but not required.
This opportunity is great for groups.
