Galveston Beacon of Hope Center

At the Beacon of Hope Centers on Galveston Island and on the mainland in Texas City, Catholic Charities offers a variety of programs to address the needs in Galveston County.

We provide food, rent, utilities, medication and financial assistance and support services aimed at returning individuals and families to self-sufficiency. As we help relieve the overwhelming stress that comes from the lack of basic needs, those in crisis are better able to work towards self-sufficiency.

We also provide response coordination and short-term and long-term recovery services to individuals and families dealing with the aftermath of natural disasters like hurricanes, floods and other catastrophes. No matter what storm comes our way, Catholic Charities will be here for the long term to help our community rebuild and recover.
