MAKE AN IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF REFUGEES AS THEY SETTLE INTO THEIR NEW HOMES IN THE HOUSTON AREA.
Volunteer Assistants must be comfortable working with refugee populations and enjoy completing administrative tasks, such as making copies, filing paperwork, calling clients, and helping clients apply for SNAP and TANF benefits.
Being bilingual is a plus but not required in languages such as:
- Arabic
- French
- Haitian Creole
- Spanish
- Swahili
- Turkish
- Ukrainian
Volunteer Assistants have access to confidential information and must stay HIPAA compliant. Training will be provided during volunteer's first shift.
Flexible shifts are available:
- Mondays, between 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Tuesdays, between 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Wednesdays, between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Fridays, between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
