Calendar Until May 31, 2026

Description

If you are interested in becoming a tutor in Spring 2026, please contact Ashlie Gutierrez at agutierrez@catholiccharities.org before completing any of the qualifications.

The St. Jerome program is seeking volunteers for its 30+ student clients. Volunteers will teach conversational, writing, and reading English, and other academic topics to refugee minors. Students are 10-21 years of age and are in this country without their parents. They live in either foster homes or supervised independent living apartments in Harris County or Fort Bend County. Training will be provided and the schedule is flexible.

Most instruction is currently virtual. Some instruction is done inside foster homes across the Houston area.
