BRING SOME SUNSHINE TO THE LIVES OF REFUGEE YOUTH THIS SUMMER!
The Refugee Resettlement Out-of-School Program is a summer academic bridge program focused on English language learning and social/emotional learning funded by the City of Houston HUD program.
Students will be between the ages of 6 and 18, and the program will be located in the Alief area at an apartment complex close to Gessner and Richmond.
As a volunteer, you may assist with
- Tutoring and homework assistance
- Teaching English language skills
- Helping with set up and cleaning up afterwards.
- Helping participates with craft activities (cutting, gluing, pasting, coloring, etc.).

Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Criminal background check (paid for by the agency; donations appreciated)
- Interview with School Impact staff
- Must be fluent in English
- Notarized Affidavit for Applicants for Employment with a Licensed Operation or Registered Child-Care Home
- Must be willing to take a TB test and drug screen (paid for by the agency)
- Must have familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
